The English Access Program (Access) builds English language capacity globally, delivering U.S. English education expertise, to strengthen mutual understanding, support key economic sector workforce development and create economic and educational opportunity. Approximately 200,000 youth and 7,500 teachers in more than 85 countries have gained English language skills since Access’ start in 2004. Through classroom instruction and activities, teacher training and short-term exchanges in the United States and a vibrant online English language community, Access participants are better prepared to thrive in their home countries, with a deeper understanding of and stronger connections to Americans and the United States.
